Chris Rickwood featured on “Best Of The Best: A Tribute To Game Music”

Game Music Central today announced that the same composers who created the music for God of War, EverQuest, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, Hitman, Jade Empire, King Kong, Myst, Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell, Lord of the Rings, Outcast, Rayman, SOCOM and World of Warcraft have contributed to Best of the Best: A Tribute To Game Music – the world’s first compilation CD featuring music inspired by some of the greatest games ever, performed by award-winning celebrity game music composers. This Collector’s Edition CD includes a 6-page booklet with photographs and printed autographs from the 20 featured composers.

Global Agenda – Hi-Rez Studios

Hi-Rez Studios has announced their new Spy-Fi massively multiplayer online game, “Global Agenda,” with a preview video of the game. 5th Annual G.A.N.G. Award Winner

Chris Rickwood’s work was recognized at the 2007 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, California. Announced at the Game Audio Network Guild’s 5th Annual Award ceremony, Chris’s work for Cartoon Network’s Re-animated: Fit to be Pie’d took home the honors in the Best Audio – Other category.

ESPN’s Monday Night Football

Working with Associated Production Music, Chris Rickwood was brought on to a team of composers to update the classic Monday Night Football theme, “Heavy Action” for ESPN. With fellow composers Cris Velasco, Sven Spieker, Sascha Dikiciyan and Robert Navarro, three modern takes on the classic theme were created. The rock elements were recorded in Los Angeles. The score was recorded with a 60-piece orchestra in Seattle.

Kids Next Door

Chris created an epic orchestral score for this game that will tie in to the movie premiere on August 11th. Check it out.

Chris created a quirky, Georgia mountain campfire jam for this Cartoon Network game.

Ben 10: Critical Impact

Chris created an old school synthesized track to compliment the top down shooting action of this Cartoon Network game.

Paradox Interactive and Mad Minute Games release Take Command: 2nd Manassas, the follow up to the successful Civil War: Bull Run. Take Command: 2nd Manassas is the most detailed Civil War game to date, presenting nearly 50 scenarios with historically accurate maps, leaders and regiments as well as authentic flags that separate the different states. Chris Rickwood contributed the music soundtrack for this game.

Chris has been working on several games for Cartoon Network and Adult Swim. You can play Big Shot Checkers for free at the Cartoon Network website.

APM releases Endgame Music Library

Associated Production Music, the largest supplier of music exclusively for use in film, television, radio and new media production, is set to unveil ENDGAME, the most successful video game music composers in the electronic gaming industry.
